APPLE HARVEST
|
We're excited to participate in the annual Monticello District Apple Harvest Festival each year. This Boy Scout event welcomes Webelos and their adult(s) for a full weekend of outdoor camping fun. Younger Cub Scouts join in for a day of games and activities.
The theme varies each year, but the excitement is non-stop. 2018 brought pirates to these thar camp grounds and 2019 was filled with gladiator games to test both strength and skill. Cub Scout packs are asked to provide an activity (e.g. tug of war) to supplement the slingshot, bb guns, and archery stations the district organizes. Attendees are asked to volunteer for a shift at our station so everyone can enjoy the fun with their family. 2020 caused some reworking of the typical program, so when our Webelos partnered with T1028B & T1029G for their skills weekend, the rest of the Pack went Family Camping in a neighboring site. Although our visits were limited to waving from the trail, we could tell from photos that everyone had an amazing time that weekend! |
