DAY CAMP
|
What kid doesn't like summer camp? And what parent doesn't love an affordable option? The Monticello District typically runs a 4 day camp for rising Wolves, Bears, and Webelos at Chris Green Lake the week following Father's Day for less than $150/Scout!
And when COVID-19 prevented us from gathering, the District went virtual. For a mere $25 they offered a program with crafts and rank advancement that closed with campfire. Camp usually includes a six station rotation of crafts, fishing, games, bb shooting, wild card (guest speakers & demonstrations) and archery. Volunteer den walkers & station helpers are welcome to join in and receive a discount rate for their scout (with training). Plus there's a toddler camp for your 3 year old - rising 1st grade kids available for a nominal fee. So bring the family! As if that's not enough, they kick the week off the Saturday before Father's Day with camp Liger = Lions + Tigers = rising Kindergarteners + 1st Graders. This few hour abbreviated camp for about $30/scout includes games, crafts, hiking, and even archery! |
