PINEWOOD DERBY

Every year our scouts compete amongst their den for the fastest and coolest car. What starts as a block of wood is crafted under parent supervision with help from our pit crew and Troop 1029 volunteers in anticipation of the big event.
Parents and siblings are encouraged to build a car (or borrow someone's from a previous year) and get in on the action! We've even added a LEGO race for our younger siblings who want to design and race their own creation. Typically an early February event, 2021 presenting us some new challenges at finding a site and gathering as a group, so we took advantage of Monticello District's virtual race in March and are now preparing for our in real life Pack race at Pen Park on April 18th. |
