Fourth graders work first on the Webelos Rank, and then may begin their 5th grade rank, the Arrow of Light. These scouts are really beginning to take on leadership roles within the den in preparation of becoming a member of a Scouts BSA Troop. Adventures are now received as pins instead of loops. If they haven't previously, they may also earn the Whittling Chip.
This is an especially fun time for kids that love to camp and get outdoors. 3 nights of Webelos camp in July as well as opportunities to overnight with Troops are all part of the process as they transition to young adults. Both dens began when their experienced members were Tigers (1st grade), and have evolved each year with new members. Many are also pursuing interest in other [sports, music, etc.] activities, but they always have a great time together on a scouting adventure. Email our 4th Grade Den Leader, Anne, or our 5th Grade Den Leader, Borgia to learn more about the Webelos and Arrow of Light den meeting schedule and activities. Webelo Requirements
